Support the independent voice of Dallas and help keep the future of Dallas Observer free.
The 6th Annual Fresh Faces of Fashion is here. It’s not a model-y model show. It’s a do-gooder-y show that uses real live do-gooders to show off the latest fashions. And with Stanley Korshak as a sponsor, we’re not talking JNCOs here, people. It all benefits the North Texas Suicide and Crisis Center which is a pretty amazing organization to support even in Tevas and tube socks. Tickets to the runway show and gala are a gasp-worthy $250 per person with underwriting and sponsorship of $5,000 to $25,000. If you don’t have that kind of change in your couch cushions, maybe you go the raffle ticket route for only $100. Every ticket gets you an entry to win a your choice of a 2012 Mercedes-Benz C250 Sedan or 2012 Mercedes-Benz C Coupe provided by Park Place Motors. Fashion show and cocktail reception start at 6:30 p.m. at Stanley Korshak, 500 Crescent Court, with dinner to follow at 8 p.m. at The Rosewood Crescent Hotel. Raffle tickets are on sale now at sccenter.org/ff2012raffle.html.

Keep the Dallas Observer Free... Since we started the Dallas Observer, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Dallas, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Dallas with no paywalls.
