Support the independent voice of Dallas and help keep the future of Dallas Observer free.
If you have 250 bones lying around, first of all, I'm surprised you're reading this. Second of all, put it to good use and buy a ticket to the 2013 Fresh Faces of Fashion Show benefiting the Suicide Crisis Center of North Texas. Did you hear that? For $250, or all of your Coinstar, you can see a fashion show, rub elbows with pretty people, loiter in Stanley Korshak without being asked to leave and indulge in gourmet food and beverages. Plus you'll get to check out the Sachin + Babi collection before anyone else, even that squarehead Karl Lagerfeld. (That's a lie.) All the fashions will be modeled by Dallas Fresh Faces, as voted on by Modern Luxury Dallas readers. The show begins at 6:30 p.m. on Friday at Stanley Korshak. Tickets are available at sccenter.org.
Fri., March 22, 6:30 p.m., 2013
Keep the Dallas Observer Free... Since we started the Dallas Observer, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Dallas, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Dallas with no paywalls.
