The Texas Rangers of 2012 have proven how long a 162-game baseball season can truly feel, even when the lengthiest season in sports (at least for the sports we care about) is less than half-complete. After getting off to the best start of any team, things have leveled off. One week J-Ham is cranking out souvenirs by the bushel and the pitching staff is mowing down other teams’ cheap imitations of J-Ham. But the next week, Derek Holland is shaving off his porn-stache and getting clobbered for a number of runs that would’ve been tough to imagine in April. With expectations higher than ever for the team that once sent Roger Pavlik to the All-Star Game, maybe some inter-league action is just what is needed to get back on track. The Rangers host the Arizona Diamondbacks at 7:05 p.m. at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. Tickets range from $7 to $88. Visit texasrangers.com for information.
