Going to see a concert at the Granada Theater is a fine way to spend an evening. But, there are plenty of folks who remember that, before the proliferation of movie grills and theaters with full bars, the Granada was the one place where one could have a pitcher of brew while catching a screening of Clerks or Jerry Maguire. The fact is, the smokey, sudsy spirit of perhaps Dallas’ greatest room is still very alive each time there’s a meaningful sporting event to be seen. The watching parties for the weekly Cowboys football games have become tradition for many a Dallasite looking to enjoy the game while receiving 12oz bottle service. With three movie screens and a friendly staff taking care of things, the Granada might be the top place - buffalo sauce-stained dens of breasts be damned - to catch the Super Bowl when the Giants take on the Patriots. And also, there's no cover charge, but you’ll need to reserve your table by calling (214) 824-9933. Doors open at 5:00pm on February 5th at 3524 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75206.
