The Pizza Man

It's not that stand-up comics aren't a bunch of go-getters. It's rough work hitting up open mikes and going on the road for weeks before returning to ungainful employment. But comic Jose Sarduy isn't another joke-cracking pizza delivery engineer--he's an Air Force officer who worked on bits when he wasn't deployed into war zones. Sarduy's bringing his take on death, destruction and his wacky Cuban-American family to Hyena's Dallas, 5321 E. Mockingbird Lane inside Mockingbird Station, at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday (with 10:30 p.m. Late shows Friday and Saturday). Tickets are $10 to $15 with a two-item minimum.
