El Paseo may not be an extraordinary find, but the cooks definitely don't skimp on the enchilada fillings. Even the cheese and onions are thick with rounded tops instead of being flat, rectangular and resembling canned tamales. Likewise the chicken enchiladas are bulging with shredded meat in a zesty tomato sauce, and the beef contain big chunks of lean meat. The beef proves just how spicy and greaseless it is in the tacos. Slightly chewy corn tortillas add to the flavor, and ranch-style beans are a nice substitution for tired refried beans.
