There are certain films that influence your life whether you know it or not. For example, Rudy makes every underdog feel like they can rule the world, Jaws makes you want to live as far inland as possible and, well, this week's midnight movie playing at Inwood Theatre (5458 West Lovers Lane) makes you never want to get lost in the woods in Germany. The Human Centipede (the title alone gives us the heebie jeebies) is about a mad German scientist (same ol' thing we've seen before) wanting to connect three of his "patients" together via their gastric system (that would be ass to mouth, people, and definitely not the same ol' thing we've seen before). Ugh, we think we just threw up in our mouths a little...or a lot. Director Tom Six isn't done with his award-winning human bug horror flick, either--there's a sequel in the works. The working title is Human Centipede II (Full Sequence). So if you're into that twisted biological stuff, then head down to the Inwood at midnight this Friday and Saturday, but don't come crying to us when the nightmares kick in.
