In this week's paper, Robert Wilonsky steps up and offers his take on the new Elvis Costello and The Imposters record, Momofuku, praising both its sound ("Costello hasn’t sounded so refreshed, relaxed, engaged or enraged in years") and the fact that Costello chose to release this disc in vinyl solely.
But today comes this news: The disc is now going the compact disc format. Digital, too.
Oh well. Guess the few Costello die-hards without a record player won't have to rush out to buy one any more...
In other, related news, you can get a stream of the whole record here, too. --Pete Freedman
