A lot going on this week, folks. Let's play some catch-up...
- Hey, remember Sachse resident Dondria? We told you about her last year--and then again last month when the above video for her song "You're The One" was released as the lead single off her upcoming debut full-length. Well, this week, while still getting love on BET's 106 & Park, she's also reached another milestone: She broke into the top 20 of Billboard's Top Hip-Hop and R&B Songs and Singles chart, peaking this week at No. 18. And, really, that's an impressive spot--just one below Erykah Badu's "Window Seat," actually.
- Hey, remember a year and a half ago when Black Tue Dynasty broke up? Pretty big deal at the time. Well, turns out, now the band's reuniting--for a one-off gig in support of Joan Jett and The Blackhearts at Elgin B. Robertson Park in Rowlett. You can get your tickets here. But, really, here's the best part: The reunion comes as part of that town's three-day "Que Fest." And, que, as we all know, translates to "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?????" in English. Loosely.
- Hey, remember about a week ago when we told you that Burleson's own Kelly Clarkson's new album was leaking like crazy? Well, it still is, turns out. A new one leaked today. These are still demos that are leaking--or so it's being reported--but, man, is this really album starting to sound like the most lackluster dance disc ever, or what?
