It'll be a good day to celebrate. Sure, everyone loves a nice cold beer. And, having new local options is wonderful, especially with so many talented brew masters, like Community Beer Co.'s own award-winning brewer Jamie Fulton, who comes from The Covey in Fort Worth. But, the process of getting from concept to a full pint of beer is a long road.

"Honestly, this is the fifth business I've opened and, hands-down, one of the most challenging processes ever," founder Kevin Carr admitted. "From the cost of equipment, delivery lead times, finding a location, construction, and then city zoning and federal and state registrations of many things ... it's not an easy business to get into. However, now that we are brewing and selling, the fun starts!"

On Saturday, January 19, at the grand opening tour, CBC will have four beers to sample: an English style ESB called Public Ale; Fulton's award-winning Vienna Lager now called Community Lager; Community Pale Ale; and "possibly" a winter warmer with spices, Regalement.

Regalement indeed. With or without the actual beer.

Check Eventbrite for tickets to the grand opening brewery tour. There will be food trucks on hand for nourishment and each guest gets a Belgian beer glass.

Community Beer Co. is rolling out prelaunch events starting January 16 at The Moth, The Common Table and Craft & Growler, then will ramp up distribution to more local spots the week of January 20. Keep a close eye on Facebook for specifics.
