As the spookiest of seasons creeps up on us, it’s time for entertainment that warms the black heart of your inner goth. But this year, don’t stop at just dragging out your copy of The Shining — try something with a little more bite. LakeCities Ballet Theater’s production of La Ballet de Dracula is a two-act Halloween stunner with a lot at stake — namely, the soul of a beautiful maiden named Aurelia, who is the focus of the ultimate good-versus-evil battle between brave, handsome husband Marius and total pain-in-the-neck Dracula. Marius, Dracula and his legion of creepy dead brides duke it out in a blur of pointe shoes and fangs with shadowy choreography that’ll send chills through your veins. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Friday and at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Medical Center of Lewisville Grand Theatre, 100 N. Charles St. Tickets are $15 and may be purchased at the door or in advance at lakecitiesballet.com.
