We think it's about time you taught your kids about the regional wildlife. No, we're not talking about a field trip to Greenville Avenue at 2:05 a.m. after all the bars have let out. We actually want you to take them somewhere they'll have a chance of surviving without emotional scars. So, it might be a little more family-friendly to attend "Saturday Smiles With Critterman." The oddly nicknamed Critterman will lead a "Tropical Rainforest Junior Safari" program where kids will get to know about the wildlife and environment from the area. We're guessing it'll involve a little more than what can eke out an existence in the grass strips between parking lots, so it should be interesting to learn about what kind of biodiversity happens among us. If for no other reason you should go to find out what on earth this region has to do with a tropical rainforest. Report back to us when you find out 2 p.m. Saturday at Bookmarks in NorthPark Center. Call 214-671-1381 for more information.
