Last Christmas saw the release of Babygirl, an erotic thriller starring Nicole Kidman as a CEO having a steamy affair with a much younger intern. It’s the latest trend of age-gap romances hitting the big screen, with other recent entries including The Idea of You with Anne Hathaway and Good Luck to You, Leo Grande with Emma Thompson. All three of these films see their leads cast opposite men in their 20s.
According to a survey conducted by the sex toy brand LELO, dating app users are increasingly open to such age gaps. 80% of users have broadened their age range in the past year, with 16% of men aged 18 to 24 saying they’ve warmed up to the idea of being with older women.
We don’t blame them. Kidman, Hathaway and Thompson are beautiful, sophisticated women. And let us not forget the time Stella Got Her Groove Back with a young Taye Diggs. We’re all susceptible to getting caught up in a scandalous situation with them.
Even though these absolute smoke shows are married (and unattainably famous), there are plenty of places in Dallas where you can work up the nerve to talk to other powerful, mature women who are intimidating, in a hot way. “Nicole Kidman types,” if you will. (These also double as places to hang out if you simply want to emulate this kind of a woman. Everyone wins.)

1717 North Harwood St.One thing we love about the DMA is that it’s an affordable and highly cultured way to spend an afternoon. Unfortunately, we don’t think the woman you’re looking for is going to be among the crowd at the free first Sundays of the month. She’s a valued donor who’s been entrenched in the arts scene for years and knows all the important curators and artists. She’ll be at exclusive exhibition openings, charity events and glamorous after-hours parties.
If you’re looking for a museum meet-cute but don’t have her connections, the best advice we can give is to do what we do and get on the media list.
Highland Park Village

Provided your dream woman doesn’t have a personal shopper, she’ll be out on the weekends browsing shops like Loewe and Brunello Cuccinelli for high-quality yet sophisticated and understated looks.
She also brunches at Sadelle’s and so do you if you want a chance with her. We don’t necessarily recommend the Babygirl trick of sending her a glass of milk, but a glass of Champagne might be enough to catch her eye.
Kessaku
1450 Elm St., Floor 50Dallas is not at a loss for high-end bars, but a woman of Nicole Kidman’s caliber won’t settle for less than the highest high-end bar in the city. The dreamy Kessaku has a luxurious feel and gorgeous views of the city. It’s the place to go if you want to feel like you’re in a movie.
It also has a robust cocktail menu. When you ask your dream woman if you can buy her a drink, the options will make her inclined to say yes.
Heritage Auctions
2801 North Airport FreewayYour dream woman values a curated, bespoke lifestyle. Much of her home is decorated in valuable antiques ranging from art to furniture, all of which can be found in Heritage’s catalog.

Winspear Opera House

There’s no way you can afford a seat near here, but an encounter in the lobby isn’t out of the question. 1530 Main St.There is no denying that your dream woman needs a spa day every once in a while. After all, we’re talking about a potential CEO here, if the Babygirl parallels still stand. Spas aren’t a great place to meet people since quiet relaxation is the vibe, but the surrounding hotel might be a good place to catch her before or after.
