The likes of Tito Ortiz and Jon Jones have launched mixed martial arts to new heights. Sadly, it also boosted its ticket price. Ignore UFC’s $500 front-row treatment and capture (almost) the same excitement for a fifth of the price in Legacy Fighting Championship 24 Friday at the Allen Event Center (200 E. Stacy Road). What it lacks in UFC’s household names it makes up for with rising stars like middleweight champion Bubba Bush and former women’s boxing welterweight champion Holly Holm. With 11 scheduled fights, there will be no shortage of sudden takedowns, lunging strikes and forceful submissions. Preliminaries start at 7:30 p.m. with the main card starting at 9. Tickets cost $25 to $155. For more information, visit cagetix.com.
