Help us weather the uncertain future

We know — the economic times are hard. We believe that our work of reporting on the critical stories unfolding right now is more important than ever.

We need to raise $6,000 to meet our goal by August 10. If you’re able to make a contribution of any amount, your dollars will make an immediate difference in helping ensure the future of local journalism in Dallas. Thanks for reading the Dallas Observer.

We are now taking your requests: A Friend of Unfair Park who would like to see more blues and jazz coverage in the paper also asks me to post the following video of Marchel Ivery performing in 1990 with Dallas' late blues great Zuzu Bollin at the original Poor David's Pub, during the Benson & Hedges Blues Festival. (Ivery, incidentally, can be heard on Bollin's 1989 Dallas Blues Society release Texas Bluesman, which is still available for $20 -- a steal.) So, it's our pleasure to post.
