Walnut Creek Country Club

Unable to find suitable summer camp arrangements for their son Patrick James Hebert diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and cerebral palsy Nicole Herbert-Hicks and her husband Patrick, Sr. took matters into their own hands and set out to build just such a camp. The Palace of A.U.T.I.S.M. (TPOA) was launched in 2011 as a non-profit, grassroots effort to create structured programming and therapeutic services for ASD and other special needs children over the summer months when such services are hard to come by. The TPOA tournament will support the Hicks’ dream of a special needs camp in Mansfield for those families that find themselves in similar childcare predicaments.
