Again, just like Badu's labor, the announcement came last night via Badu's Twitter account.
What's pretty fascinating about all this isn't that Badu is necessarily using technology to its fullest, but rather how many people are shocked by her doing so. Pitchfork in particular wrote a lengthy news item about the fact that Badu is keeping her fans up to date with her personal life via her Twitter account--and it can basically be summed up in three words: "Too much information." Either way, it's a pretty funny read.
And congrats again to Ms. Badu and Jay Electronica.
