Motions and Emotions is, shockingly, not a Beach Boys song. It's a night of art, fashion, dance, catwalkin’ and charity, all for the kids. The event, which benefits the Children’s Medical Center, is free, with “food and drinks on us.” A $5 donation is suggested but not required so go, have fun and be entertained by people with these names: Dead Photographers Society, Eduar Lamprea (well, his fashion designs), Marcos Prado of The Smoke and Jenna Mitchell (Booker T. Washington’s scholarship winner). It goes down from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m Friday at Continental Lofts, 3311 Elm Street.
