Jones Road, the four-year-old clean beauty brand founded by Brown, will be opening its first Dallas storefront just steps away from the Katy Trail on Knox Street (3230 Knox Street, Suite 100), this Friday, Aug. 29. The second location in Texas (outside of Austin), the opening marks just the tenth retail store for Jones Road, after more than doubling its brick-and-mortar footprint in 2024.
"I've always loved visiting Texas because the people are so warm and I love the culture — from the music to the museums to the delicious food,” Brown tells us. “Earlier this Spring, we opened a store in Austin on Congress Street and the community there has really embraced Jones Road. When we found this new location on Knox Street, we jumped at the opportunity to expand our presence in Texas."
The location will now occupy the former Marine Layer space, with 1,300 square feet of makeup, tools and skincare products while also housing “Dallas-exclusive merchandise,” according to a press release. Additionally, Jones Road will double as an experiential beauty boutique with six makeup stations for skin-matching and makeup application services. For Brown, Dallas holds a special place in her heart, as well as an exciting and easy choice for the new Jones Road home. The city certainly has an eye for the greater beauty industry, too.
“I often would come to Dallas to meet with Neiman Marcus' beauty team,” she says. “So now, I get to come to visit my own Jones Road store, which is a thrill.”
Even more thrilling, the space will offer limited edition kits curated intimately by Bobbi herself, catering to specific looks and seasons. While we had her attention, we couldn't pass up the chance to ask the revolutionary maven to dish on the must-have trends for Fall.
"I really don't believe in trends — I believe in using products that make you feel beautiful,” Brown tells us. “I’m also very consistent and have always preferred a natural, effortless look. The trick is just to play around and see what you like best. Whatever makes you feel the most confident is the best trend to follow. [So] here's what's on my mind for Fall:"
A Classic Lip
“True story: I stopped wearing lipstick for many years because they all felt dry and powdery. It took me a while to decide what made a lipstick formula excellent," Brown says. "This September, Jones Road is introducing The Classic Lip — a lightweight, richly-pigmented lipstick in 12 shades that looks flattering on every lip. Whether you wear a neutral shade or a high-impact color is a personal preference, but I encourage women to pay attention to the formula. “Brown tones are universally flattering. It’s a shade I lean into all year, but really double down on during fall and the holidays,” Brown shares. “Most people benefit from products that are brown-based, and that's true for tints, shadows, liners and even blushes and highlighters. For someone like me, brown-based products are also extremely versatile. I always have The Best Shadow in Dark Brown on me; I use it as a shadow, to line my eyes, fill in my brows, and in a pinch, I'll even use it to cover up any grey roots visible in the part of my hair.”Consider Sparkle
“This season is synonymous with holiday gatherings, parties and celebrations, so don’t ever be afraid to add a little sparkle to your look,” Brown says. “No matter your age, a touch of shimmer can make you look and feel better. My general rule is to select two areas on your face for sparkle — perhaps a bit of shimmer on your cheeks and some gloss on your lips. For eyes, I love Just a Sec [eyeshadow]; it adds just enough."In addition to retail, and serving up a fresh beat, Jones Road will also host live events, activations and private gatherings. Brown is also set to release her new memoir, Still Bobbi, on September 23.
