Record Store Day has its champions and detractors. Some suggest every day should be RSD, while others use the limited-edition special releases to fatten up their vinyl collection. Beyond the pursuit of commerce, RSD is a chance to catch Dallas music fanned out around town. Good Records (1808 Greenville Ave.) will open at 7 a.m., for all you hardcore wake and bakers. Twelve hours of live music kicks off at 11 a.m. with Shinyribs, and continues with further entreaties from the Relatives, Myopic, Bashe, Blackstone Rangers, Whiskey Folk Ramblers, Cutter, A.Dd+, Vulgar Fashion, War Party, Datahowler, Dark Rooms and Unconscious Collective. Over at Bill’s Records (1317 South Lamar St.), an equally dizzying lineup starts at noon with Mr. Troll, and continues with Southern Karma, J.D. Cobb and more. Visit billsrecords.com for full lineup.
