There’s art everywhere. In this cubicle, there’s a graphic print next to a Robert Motherwell postcard, above a notebook covered with an Andy Warhol photograph. And that’s just one corner. We cover everything in art to make life more beautiful. Perhaps that’s why designer and illustrator Michael Sieben began covering skateboards with prints for the company he co-founded, Roger Skateboards. Described as the “graphic branding sensibility of a 12-year-old boy,” this company has developed into a cultural phenomenon. Sieben is also a founding member of the Austin gallery and collective, Okay Mountain. His varied interests will make his an interesting brain to pick at the Dallas Contemporary’s Tuesday night Chit Chat, featuring a conversation between Sieben and Sourgrapes’ Carlos Donjuan. Plus, Sieben will have just finished a mural in Trinity Groves before this talk. Head to the free event’s satellite location, 354 Singleton Blvd, at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
