The most memorable film moments, the ones that leave the most lasting impressions, often come from real life caught on film — the ones about which audiences say out loud, “I can’t believe that really happened.” But it’s not just about having a camera to catch those scenes; there’s an art to handling real personalities, gaining trust and representing a subject honorably. The Thin Line Film Fest showcases those talents with 11 days of documentary screenings — 21 features, 43 shorts, eight special presentations and 10 docu-race films. Celebrate the films (such as Buck, Among Giants and The Other F Word) and the filmmakers who make documentary the most compelling genre. Thin Line Film Fest takes place Friday through February 20 at Campus Theater, 214 W. Hickory in Denton. Single tickets are $6 to $10, passes vary from $20 (opening/closing) to $150 (all-access).
