The perfect man.

OK, Miss Lonelyhearts, this one's for you. Men's Health magazine did all the work for you in your quest to find Mr. Right by analyzing the single-women to single-men ratio of 101 cities across the nation, and your man is out there somewhere. Criteria also included divorce rates, fitness levels, philanthropic endeavors (the idea being that if a man gives to charity, he will give to the relationship), education level and lastly, attraction, an aptly misnamed category explained by the idea that "people who rode a rollercoaster were more attracted to strangers they saw after they disembarked than those they met before they did the loopity loop" and not necessarily looks. It has to do with adrenaline apparently.

So does this mean you'll have to move to find that great guy? If so, it won't be too far. Arlington was listed in the top five with the following description:

Arlington, Texas: It may be in the shadow of Fort Worth and Dallas, but Arlington shines in the dating department. With a high philanthropy ranking, the men there invest more of their disposable income in charities than most, and with the low divorce rate what they don't give to a good cause is probably going toward box seats for the Rangers rather than alimony to an ex. STATS: 97th out of 101 in divorce rate, 90th in philanthropy, and 81st in fitness level

And Dallas? Well, it didn't do too badly, earning a B+ and 16th place rank. But the top spot for great chances of finding your man would be San Francisco, with a huge number of highly educated and in-shape men. I just wonder if they should have considered this with their criteria. --Rich Lopez
