Lorlee Bartos

Quite the pin-up, eh, fellas?

And while we're on the subject of local winners -- and, look, you're all winners, far as I am concerned -- Friend of Unfair Park Lorlee Bartos has done won herself a spot in the National Park Service's forthcoming National Historic Landmarks calendar, which will be available in December.

The winners were selected last month, and Bartos is one of six honorable mentions in a contest sponsored by the U.S. Department of the Interior, and she makes the calendar with this photo taken in the Texas Centennial Buildings at Fair Park, a National Historic Landmark. So, mazel tov. "Though," Bartos notes, "I don't think I get a million bucks or anything." Course not. That's reserved for cookie recipes and them Halo 3 players coming to Dallas in December. --Robert Wilonsky
