A Friend of Unfair Park sends word that my old pal John Moore -- who, as I mentioned this morning, was in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, attending the rally at which Pakistani opposition leader Benazir Bhutto was assassinated -- was interviewed today by CNN about his photos. It's a six-minute piece, accompanied by many more photos the Irving native took of Bhutto before the shooting, as well as photos of the casualties suffered after the shooting and the suicide assassin blew himself up.

John's actually been following Bhutto since her return to Pakistan in October and tells CNN, "She just wanted to get close to the people, and obviously whoever was after her -- they saw that coming." Wonkette also has many of John's photos taken throughout the course of the day. --Robert Wilonsky
