Thanks to all who played; we'll have more stuff to give away in coming days, swear. And we do appreciate that many of you made your entries topical; several suggested the smoke had something to do with former Mayor Laura Miller ("diabolical," wrote someone) and/or the Trinity Toll Road. But the UP brain trust, which read every entry without knowing who sent 'em in, has selected a winner. And it comes from longtime local powerhouse Jeff West, who brings us this:
