There were a handful of Christmas-light-viewing suggestions in the Unfair Park in-box this morning -- and how in the wide, wide world of sports did I miss the round-the-corner extravaganza on 11565 Cromwell Circle, home to 35,000 twinkling lights and, per Mike McNaughton's e-mail, "a private radio station and a talking Christmas tree and a light show worthy of the Olympics all set in time to Holiday Music!" Maybe we'll swing by before hitting Royal China tonight (a family tradition that dates back to the mid-'70s).

And last night, the great Patti Haskins snapped these terrific look-sees at the explosion of joy at 714 Newell Ave., not far from Woodrow. Local punk icon included amongst the stack of photos at no extra charge.
