The above clip is one man's take--this "one man" in question being Pugs & Kelly producer Eric Marc--on Tuesday night's Dallas Observer Music Awards ceremony. Warning: There is puke involved. (To be fair, I never promised it was gonna be a classy party...)
But others are still talking DOMA in the aftermath of Tuesday night, too, including the folks at KTCK-1310 AM The Ticket, whose recent podcast features some fine audio clips from the DOMA ceremony. Even if you were there, it's worth listening to again. There's no limit to the number of times you can hear Mike Modano saying that he "loves Weener" or hear Martellus Bennett saying that we need to get our Capn' Crunch ready for the 2010 season.
Oh, the memories...
And, speaking of memories: You can check out photographer Bill Ellison's DOMA photo booth slideshow right here. Swear, it seems like just the other day that all this happened...
Keep the Dallas Observer Free... Since we started the Dallas Observer, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Dallas, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Dallas with no paywalls.
