The Eagles To Soar Through The AAC In September. Or: God, I’m Begging You--Defrost Hell Already

"This is probably the last Eagles album that we'll ever make," Don Henley told CNN of the band’s 2007 steaming shit platter Long Road Out of Eden.

Yeah, but he made similar promises about the chances of an Eagles reunion right up until their 1994 Hell Freezes Over tour, so I’m not breathing a sigh of relief just yet.

The Eagles' latest tour kicks off next Monday in Philly. They’ll perform at the American Airlines Center Saturday, September 13, and tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday, July 21. Oh, and the American Express Early On Sale--whatever that means--is 10 a.m. Monday, July 14 until 10 p.m. Sunday, July 20. Plus, VIP packages are available at this site.

In case you hadn’t guessed, I won’t be there. Maybe that would be a good night to watch a movie at home. I can think of at least one that would be appropriate...

I'd rather take that cop's abuse than sit through an Eagles concert. --Jesse Hughey

Keep the Dallas Observer Free... Since we started the Dallas Observer, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Dallas, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Dallas with no paywalls.
