Robert's been doing a pretty decent job of keeping folks appraised of the Super Bowl-related(ish) events we can expect to be inundated with come February when the big ol' XLV comes through to rock Arlington (with the Black Eyed Peas) -- like the two-day Diddy-hosted affair, and the Pam Anderson party, and the Gene Simmons support-the-troops shindig, and even events featuring the Village People and t.A.T.u or Passion Pit and Ghostland Observatory in the Cotton Bowl. Hell, even the greatness that is Hall & Oates will be coming through.
Problem is, all these suckers cost a pretty penny to attend. So, what of the free events coming to town? Surely they must be worth our while, yes?
Well, the first free event has been announced. And, while this post's headline and the picture inserted to the right here may be a dead giveaway as to who this event is toting along, let's jump and find out some details on the affair nonetheless.
Yep, on Saturday, February 5, DirecTV will be hosting their fifth annual Celebrity Beach Bowl in, of all places, Victory Plaza. And, right after the likes of Marisa Miller, Taylor Lautner and Chace Crawford (last year's celebrity players) do some serious beach battle in what's normally a concrete jungle where dreams are made of, the satellite TV providers will be rolling out Maroon 5 to perform a free show for the jubilant masses.
Oh, joy. Maroon 5 and the Black Eyed Peas. What a weekend we've got coming up.
Makes me wonder, indeed.
