Pangea is a one-Michelin-starred restaurant that has been the focal point of fine dining in Monterrey, Mexico, for over 25 years. It's helmed by chef-founder Guillermo González Beristáin and chef-partner Eduardo Morali.
On Tuesday, August 26, chef Morali will come to Dallas to serve a world-class tasting menu at The Mexican. This exclusive, one-night-only event is part of The Mexican's Origins of Mexico epicurean series.
"We are honored to bring one of Mexico's most accomplished chefs to Dallas," said Victor Willis, general manager at The Mexican. "This is a unique chance for our guests to enjoy the artistry of a Michelin-starred chef — and taste the soul of Monterrey — without needing a passport."
Chef Morali is known for reimagining traditional Mexican cuisine with global techniques. His tasting menu will reflect the spirit and bold, contemporary flavors of northern Mexico in Dallas.
The epicurean series that The Mexican hosts is to connect diners with the rich history and traditions of Mexican cuisine. Each event they host can bring forward regional variations of foods, historical context, unique ingredients and traditional techniques that tell the complete story of the cuisine.
A collaboration with chef Morali is a no-brainer for this Design District staple, which has been bringing Monterrey flavors to Texas since it opened in 2022.
For 10 consecutive years, though, Pangea has been included in the list of the 50 best restaurants in Latin America by S. Pellegrino & Acqua Panna. It earned its first Michelin star in 2024 and has retained it for the 2025 guide. Chef Morali lives and breathes Northern Mexican food and will bring a tasting menu Dallas hasn't seen in the coming weeks.
Reservations are now available on OpenTable, or you can call The Mexican at 214-210-5700 to make a reservation. At the time of writing this, it appears the event is completely sold out, but absolutely set that notification alert on OpenTable because things always change.
