There was some social media gossip about a Yu Dog at the Rangers Ballpark on Monday night, so I contacted Casey Rapp, the Operations Manager with Metroplex Sportservice, which coordinates most of the food for the stadium. (Rapp has a pretty cool, yet tiring, job and keeps in touch throughout the season.)

Rapp confirmed there is, in fact, a Yu Dog.

For now it's only available in the Captain Morgan Club on days that Darvish pitches. "If it sells well then we will add it to the everyday menu in the Captain Morgan Club," Rapp told me by email.

The Yu Dog is an all-beef hot dog wrapped in wonton and deep-fried to a crispy perfection. It's then covered in beef teriyaki, drizzled with wasabi mayo, topped with sweet and tangy seaweed salad and sprinkled with sesame seeds. It's served with shoestring fries tossed with sesame seed oil and rings in at $12.

The Captain Morgan Club is located in center field behind the bullpen.
