If you love the drama of Lifetime, but aren’t keen on the comfort of your own home, come check out the most angst-filled movie to never star Meredith Baxter-Birney. It’s called Cyberbully and not once does it suggest you save the drama for your momma. Mostly because, if you’re getting cyberbullied like our young lead, Taylor Hillridge (Emily Osment), you need to tell someone and not withdraw from all your family and friends including BFF Samantha Caldone (Kay Panabaker). The film goes on to explore the damage caused by social slander and in traditional “not on my watch” fashion, closes with Taylor’s mother’s quest to change the system. Part of the ongoing First Tuesday Social Justice Film Festival hosted by Unitarian Universalist Church of Oak Cliff, 3939 W. Kiest Blvd., Cyberbully screens at 7 p.m. It’s free.
