Legend has it that former President John F. Kennedy spent the night with Marilyn Monroe at the Belmont Hotel, and Thursday you can too. She’ll be larger than life and just as gorgeous as ever, starring in Some Like it Hot, the 1957 classic cross-dressing screwball comedy. It’s a summer gift offered by the historic hotel and is the latest installment of Belmont’s Dive-In Movie series, where you — the good people of Dallas — sip on poolside cocktails while classic films are projected above the mid-century modern swimming pool. Bring out your blankets (mosquito repellent too) or pull up a lawn chair to watch Sugar Kane (Marilyn) and her band members Josephine (Tony Curtis) and Daphne (Jack Lemmon) escape the Chicago mob. The event is free. You’ll just need cash for the bar and snacks.
