They’re after your brains. If you had enough weapons and materials to form some sort of go-to kit, something that had anything and everything you’d need to ward off a zombie attack, you’d be set. But you don’t. You have to solve clues and perform crazy tasks to earn your survival kit components, silly. You can’t expect to just easily evade brain-eating irritants by outrunning them or playing by movie rules, because we all know the Walking Dead doesn’t teach anyone anything but how to have an unnecessary conversation and well, we aren’t dealing with movie zombies. This is real. Sorta. It’s the Zombi Race. And it’s the ugghhhhh-iest survival race to hit Dallas since, well, ever. The challenge takes place Thursday, February 16, and will cover three to five miles. Participants must compete in pairs. Sign-in starts at 5:30 p.m. and brain-guarding efforts begin at 7 p.m. at the Church, 2424 Swiss Ave. Registration is $35 per person at zombirace.com.
