The ’80s Were Magic

Has the government shutdown still got you down? Looking for a reason to get out of bed now that summer is over, at least in the strictest technical sense? Or maybe you’re just disappointed at the newest crop of freshmen Saturday Night Live players. What you need is a healthy dose of comedy. Let alumni of SNL bring you back to simpler, happier times at the Allen Convention Center, 200 E. Stacy Road. Dana Carvey (aka the Church Lady), Kevin Nealon (aka Subliminal Man) and Dennis Miller (oh yeah, he was on SNL, wasn’t he?) are a comedic superstorm that takes the stage at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. All have had successful careers post-SNL but they’ve rarely appeared on stage together, so this one-night-only show is even more exciting. We’re super pumped to see Hanz and Franz together again, and to hear two Weekend Update veterans at once. Tickets are available through ticketmaster.com and the Allen Event Center Box Office.
