Onika Tanya Maraj, more commonly known as Nicki Minaj, is opening the U.S. leg of her Pinkprint tour in Dallas. All of the Barbz (pop stars have god awful nicknames for their fans, and this is her's) should be excited. Even if you aren't prepubescent/insane enough to call yourself a "Barb," you should be very excited about this tour, as Minaj is the Queen of Rap. Also, the openers are stacked. It's like a SXSW showcase with longer sets, and you don't have to stand in line for 28 years to purchase an expensive ticket. This could be the hottest rap tour in the summer.

On July 17, Minaj is bringing Dej Loaf, Tinashe, Rae Sremmurd and Meek Mill to Gexa Energy Pavillion. How many flame emojis will this be? One seventy gazillion, that's how many. Minaj's third studio album was released in December of last year and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard charts and it has sold over half a million copies since.
Dej Loaf is best known as the pint-sized Detroit rapper who blew up on a song about how you should not try her. That song is called "Try Me." Tinashe's best known single is "2 On." She also had a recurring guest spot on 2 and a Half Men, which is sad, but at least she got paid for it.
Rae Sremmurd, you know those guys, they're Kris Kross on steroids, two young folks who have brought us multiple party tracks like "No Type," "No Flex Zone," and the criminally underrated, "We." And Meek Mill, he's a rapper from Philly, best known for his kind of screaming on songs. He's like this generation's DMX, without the crack cocaine. Here's the full list of dates for the concert.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 20 at Minaj's website, mypinkfriday.com.
