Recently I got to take a spin around Goghee To Go Korean BBQ Tacos. When this spot opened at 2222 Inwood Road last year, we talked about it here and there, but we figured we'd revisit to see how they're settling in after a year. And from reading those previous reviews, it seems they've changed a few things, including the type of tortillas and style of tacos.

I pulled up to the drive-thru window on the right side of the small brown building south of Love Field and quickly tried to figure out who, what, when, where and how. They've provided numbered steps to guide rookies through the process, but it's still a bit flustering because there are a lot of options and they all look interesting.

First, you choose from beef, chicken, pork or mushroom, all of which come in a savory and sweet sauce. Then you choose from tacos (three), a burrito, a burrito bowl, quesadilla, torta or nachos. Lastly, you can add extras. But another step has been added. Now you can choose between Mexican style, spicy or kimchee.

The girl on the other side of the window asked if this was my first time and was happy to help. She explained that their most popular meat is the pork and suggested I try one of each (Mexican, spicy and kimchee). Variety. Perfect.

The spicy pork made my forehead sweat and was probably my favorite, but the sweetness of the meat needed some balance. I liked the tortillas because they're thick enough to hold all that messy goo together.

The kimchee-style (left in photo) was super sweet, and even though it, too, was good, there's no way I could eat three because of said sweetness.

The third (in the middle of the photo) came with the house special toppings: onion pico, cilantro, salsa rojo, cabbage and a sesame soy sauce vinaigrette. Next time around, I'll get extra heat on this one (always an option).

What's fun about this taco shop is that it's something different. It's all fresh and served hot, and I was in and out of the parking lot in less then 10 minutes. The three tacos were less than $7, and with a drink and half an order of nachos less than $12 all together.

There's no indoor seating, although there are picnic tables scattered around the parking lot. In addition to the drive through, there's a walk up window. Goghee is open until 8 p.m. but closed on Sundays.
