Something about that "Proof that people think I'm funny" page screams not only, "Look at my giant ego!" but also, "I might possibly be desperate for gigs...corporate functions are no problem!" Is it weird to anyone else that comedian Jeff Burghart includes a "Testimonials" section on his Web site? Something about that "Proof that people think I'm funny" page screams not only, "Look at my giant ego!" but also, "I might possibly be desperate for gigs...corporate functions are no problem!" But then what do I know? I would think his lengthy résumé and inclusion on Comedy Central's Premium Blend would be enough to draw audiences looking for some solid stand-up entertainment. (That is, after all, a performance aired on a reputable national cable television network.) Burghart hits the Fort Worth stage of Hyena's Comedy Club, 605 Houston St., 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Hell, he might be so awesome you'll wanna testify. Admission is $10 to $15.
