Wheel Of Fortune has been bringing families together, often to shout frustrated expletives at contestants, since 1975. It combines life's greatest things: a spinny prize wheel, an illuminated version of Hangman and the eternal fountain of grace and youth that is Vanna White. This weekend Dallas Fort Worth watchers will get their chance to solve the puzzle when the Wheelmobile, a massive tour van of opportunity, rolls into town.
On Saturday, November 17, Dallas gets its first shot at RSTLNE bliss when auditions are held fittingly at Southfork Ranch, in -- wait for it -- the Oil Baron's Ballroom! All fans may fill out an application, but auditions slots will be chosen by random. Those golden ticket holders will then advance to play a simulated version of the game and win "unique prizes" while being evaluated as potential candidates for the official CBS production. (There's a ten dollar parking fee. Southfork Ranch is located at 3700 Hogge Drive, in Parker, and the event runs from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.)
If you don't get picked Saturday, get aggressive and try again on Sunday, November 18. That's when the destiny wagon anchors down at the Fair Park Music Hall. That word party comes with limited complimentary parking, with a ten dollar charge for overflow. (Music Hall at Fair Park is located at 909 First Avenue, in Dallas and this event runs from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.)
