What you see below is a time-lapse video of Los Angeles-based Steven Lopez painting Erykah Badu's portrait -- something the artist did for his "After Midnight" series that also includes the likes of Tina Turner, Minnie Ripperton and Aretha Franklin. Comes word today, via Paul Levatino, that Lopez and Badu are selling limited-edition Giclée prints to raise money for a Badu-hosted gathering planned for June; so far, it's scheduled to feature EMEK, Motown's art director Kyle Gowen, Lopez and other visual artists who will work with South Dallas students. The 40-inch-by-30-inch prints, signed by Badu and Lopez, go on sale midnight April 15 on Lopez's Web site.
