Michelin-Recognized Duro Hospitality Debuts The Chumley House in Fort Worth

The new steakhouse has an opulent British flair. Dinner starts with a tea service and can include beef Wellington.

Duro Hospitality, the group behind Michelin-recognized Mister Charles and El Carlos Elegante, among many other respected Dallas restaurants, just debuted its first project in Fort Worth, The Chumley House on Camp Bowie Blvd.

The sophisticated, European-inspired steakhouse has a British flair and is a tribute to Chumley, co-founder Chas Martin's dog. Chumley was a beloved companion of the Duro team who embodied loyalty, strength and warmth — a sentiment they hope flows through every element of this restaurant.

"Our goal was to make guests feel as though they've stepped into a luxurious, old-world setting," explains designer Corbin See, a partner in Duro Hospitality. "The Chumley House is a blend of English coziness with a touch of opulence, like entering an elegant yet intimate space full of history and character."

Details include an English hunting motif inside The Study, a private dining corner with a custom fireplace and the dramatic architectural elements of the Trellis Room: custom mahogany crown molding, herringbone-patterned dark wood floors and saddle leather banquettes.

The Chumley House menu features a selection of European-inspired dishes that fuse tradition and global influences while staying true to Texas roots with plenty of beef. There are á la carte steaks — filets, New York strip and bone-in ribeye — with seafood pairings. And there's the timeless British classic, beef Wellington.

Sides like herb popovers with salted butter and The Regal Potato also reflect the theme of indulgence and heritage. The wine list offers pours from Napa, Bordeaux, Burgundy and many other celebrated wine regions around the world.

The menu has some creative interpretations of Indian dishes like Butter Chicken Pie and Long Bone Lamb Tandoori, which pay a subtle tribute to the U.K. Also, every guest begins their night with freshly baked scones and a comforting cup of rose lychee tea.

The dessert menu includes a sticky toffee pudding, and cocktails bring the menu full circle with classics (gin martinis) and distinctive offerings like the Sergeant Pepper with spicy strawberry tequila, St. Germain and agave ($19).

They aim to make the restaurant worldly, "a place that could be anywhere on earth," per the press release.
