Fat Tuesday is next week, but you can do some training for the gluttonous holiday today at IHOP (multiple locations). Today is National Pancake Day, and guests will receive a free short stack of flapjacks at participating locations. The folks at IHOP ask that in exchange for the free fluffy deliciousness you make a donation to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and Shriners Hospitals. Since the first National Pancake Day in 2006, IHOP has raised $5.35 million for children's charities, and last year they served 4 million free flapjacks, enough to create a stack more than 31 miles high. Help IHOP surpass that figure today and enjoy a breakfast favorite for free until 10 p.m.
