Support the independent voice of Dallas and help keep the future of Dallas Observer free.
Downtown Dallas, Inc., announced this afternoon that Rusty Taco will take over the Main Street Garden Café space.
Robert Wilonsky reported on the space's need for a tenant over on Unfair Park back in February. Today's release announces Rusty's as the chosen vendor. The taco shack beat out a dozen other vendors vying for the space and will start stuffing tortillas some time in May
Rusty Fenton owns four other locations of his taco franchise in Texas and in Minnesota. "This location provides an established location in the heart of Downtown, and we are up for this new adventure," he said in the news release.
His Greenville Avenue location was one the test subjects on our brisket taco crawl. After sampling four other boutique taco joints in and around Dallas, Rusty's brisket taco was my favorite. Soon they'll be a little more accessible to my office, too.
