Update: The supper club sold out on June 23.
Radici Wood Fired Grill will host the Dallas Observer's first members-only supper club this July 16 — no jacket required. (But how much fun would it be if we coordinated?)
Radici is an Italian restaurant from Top Chef alum and two-time James Beard nominee Tiffany Derry. Radici, which means roots, is also one of our Top 100 restaurants. Derry's culinary vision for the Farmers Branch spot is based on her travels through Italy and her early career spent in Italian kitchens. We've long been big fans of all of Derry's work, including her original Southern food-inspired restaurant Roots, also a Top 100 restaurant.
So, when we sat down to dream about our first-ever member supper, Radici was at the top of the list. More specifically, soul satisfying dishes like lasagna bianca with a white Bolognese (a popular dish from Northern Italy). On Wednesday, July 16, at 6 p.m., we'll sit down for a three-course meal prepared by sous chef Ivana Robinson, with whom chef Derry has long worked with in the kitchen and with recipe development.
There are only a limited number of seats available to the supper club (25), and you must be a member in order to attend. Our membership platform allows us to keep our paper free for all of Dallas. Since 1980, the Dallas Observer has delivered alternative journalism, covering overlooked and underreported news around North Texas. This supper club is a way for use to celebrate both what we do and who we do it for.
The three-course dinner, which costs $50 plus fees (discounted from $120), will be held in a private kitchen at the restaurant and includes a welcome cocktail and lots of witty foodie banter from food editor Lauren Drewes Daniels and our editor-in-chief Patrick Williams.
You may give any amount to become a member to receive an invite. Again, there is a limited number of spots.
