A cheesy four-day showcase is going on in Deep Ellum, spotlighting the best macaroni and cheese the neighborhood has to offer. No tickets are needed; just pay as you go around to various restaurants. You’ll find some mac and cheese at AllGood Cafe, BrainDead Brewing, Brick and Bones, Bucky Moonshine’s Southern Eats Bar, Central Mac and Mama Tried.

The Christmas edition of a popular local pub run is winding its way through Bishop Arts this weekend. The monthly pub run is a three-mile run/walk at an easy pace, landing at AJ Vagabonds and Oddfellows this time. First beer is free, too.

Chef Anastacia Quinones is bringing tacos to Haute Sweet this weekend, where you can find gingerbread, beignets and breakfast tacos. A limited number of gingerbread beignets will be filled with chocolate ganache, and regular staples will also be available.

La Popular Tamale House hosts its first Tamalada Holiday Festival this weekend, celebrating the season with this free pop-up shop. You’ll find churros, popcorn, cotton candy, hot chocolate, Mexican coffee, pictures with Santa Claus, holiday shopping and live music. And tamales, of course.
