The time has come. After months of anticipation -- an early announcement in May, banners spotted last month -- the people of Bonchon have announced they will open this Wednesday. The newest chapter in Dallas' Korean fried saga starts at 11 a.m. and the opening might come close to the Korean-American equivalent of the arrival of In-N-Out.

I don't think it will be that big, but this place has a little buzz about it. The announcement got 50 "likes" quicker than you can fry a chicken wing on Facebook. And there's more news.

They're conducting an abbreviated service for the next two days. It's called a soft opening --- an effort to quietly prop the door open hoping only a few people will walk in and out at a time. Except they posted to their Facebook page, so who knows what could happen. The limited soft opening is today and tomorrow from 3 p.m. - 11 p.m..

If you go early you better be nice. Order one wing at a time, practice plenty of patience and go in with an open mind. The rest of us will see you there on Wednesday. We'll be coming in buses.
