Support the independent voice of Dallas and help keep the future of Dallas Observer free.
For the past five years Annie's Culinary Creations has been churning out impressive baked goods in Murphy, just east of Plano. In that time they've produced wedding cakes that put the traditional white tiers to shame (seriously, check out this Halloween one with bride and groom chest-bursters from Alien). Now they're shuttering the Murphy location and heading to Knox-Henderson, near Pearl Cup at 1908 N. Henderson Ave.

Custom cakes are the store's bread and butter, but they also have counter-ready items like cake balls, cupcakes, brownies and lemon bars. The new location should be open by the middle of this month and will occupy the space of the old V Spot.
Along with the Henderson shop, Annie's will also be opening a location inside Lizzie Bee's Flower Shoppe in Sachse.
Keep the Dallas Observer Free... Since we started the Dallas Observer, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Dallas, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Dallas with no paywalls.
